Shakti Mohan wins Sunheri Taqdeer Ki Topi (The Golden hat) on DID 2

Zee TV announced the winner of the second season of dance reality show, Dance India Dance. The Grand Finale was held at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai on April 23 and telecast Live on Zee TV. In an intense, nerve-racking finish, 24 year old Shakti Mohan from Delhi was voted as the winner by millions of viewers from across the world. Heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor was the star attraction at the Grand Finale. The crowd went berserk when the winner was announced.

The evening of the Grand Finale was packed with one breathtaking act after another. Be it Remo’s spirited act to a medley of Micheal Jackson’s chartbusters or Terence’s jaw-dropping zip-line entry seated atop the Avatar bird, the crowd couldn’t get enough of their favorite masters. Punit’s rocking rendition of ‘Dhoom’, Shakti’s spunky jig to Shut Up n Bounce and Chamma Chamma, Binny’s mermaid act to the soul-stirring Mar Jawaan and Dharmesh’s stunning turn on a giant cassette player prop had the audience begging for more. On public demand, Shakti joined hands with Amar for an encore of the Best duet act of Season 2, Khuda Jane. The audience stood up and applauded when the four finalists performed a special aerial act to Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, Grand Master Mithun Da joined hands with anchors Jay Bhanushali and Saumya Tandon for a comic act that had the audience in splits!
The winner, as promised, got the Sunheri Taqdeer Ki Topi (The Golden hat). Apart from this, the winner was also bestowed with a contract of Rs. 50 lakhs with Zee TV, a Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R car and an exclusive opportunity to star in Farah Khan’s next film ‘Tees Maar Khan’.
The viewers expressed their happiness and joy over Shakti’s win.
All fans now look forward to the new series of Dance India Dance – Lil’ Masters which has young aspiring talent of India give their best performances to woo the judges and audiences.

Tom Jones’ debut live concert in UAE

Megastar Mammootty officially launched Asianet Middle East 24x7 Channel recently in a glittering function held at Hotel Madeenath Jumaira, Dubai.

Speaking on the occasion, National Award Winning actor Mammootty said “Malayalees are so concerned and bothered of what’s happening in and around them and the present launch  of exclusive Channel  really gives lot of  hopes  and aspiration to  Keralite expatriates in the Middle East”.

Star One announces new programming line up




Two fresh and inspiring shows hit the airwaves from April 5
STAR One recently announced the launch of a fresh lineup of content viz. 2 new fiction shows, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Rang Badalti Odhani from April 5 (Monday to Friday). With a spanking new array of content being added to the channel, the shows will now comprise a high voltage entertaining mix of reality, fiction, drama and a lot more! Rest assured, everyone is going to be thoroughly entertained with the new programmes coming their way!
The new line-up of shows is a result of the in-depth research conducted by the channel, which threw up glaring gaps. The research revealed startling new information on changing viewership trends as also a new set of audiences with a certain entertainment need. Hence, with the aim of expanding its viewership and filling in these gaps, STAR One is proud to present a range of new, refreshing and differentiated content in its prime time band.
From April 5, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Rang Badalti Odhani are non-traditional and inspiring stories of young women, who have the ability to script their own destinies by defying conventions.
