Idea Star Singer Season 4 on Asianet
The popular music reality show 'Idea Star Singer' recently started its fourth season. Cine actress Navya nair lighted the lamp and Jury members Sharreth, play back singers K.S. Chithra, M.G.Sreekumar, Asianet officials were present at the occassion. Forty eight contestants from across Kerala have been short listed for this year’s competition. Apart from the jury members, prominent personalities from film industry will participate as celebrity guest in the programme. The audition was conducted in all major cities of Kerala and abroad. Asianet airs “ Idea Star Singer Season 4 “ on every Monday to Friday at 19.00 (UAE).

Vivek and Sonia wins Idea Star Singer 2008
Alappuzha natives Vivekanandan and Sonia won the popular Malayalam music reality competition 'Idea Star Singer 2008', conducted by Asianet in the male and female categories respectively.
Each of them has been awarded a flat priced at Rs. 1 crore sponsored by Confident Group. Rahul from Ernakulam bagged the second position in the contest, while Gayathri from Thiruvalla bagged the third position.
The mega finals took place on 25th April 25, 2009 Saturday at Chandrasekhar Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. Legendary music director M.S. Viswanathan was the chief guest. Actors Meera Jasmine, Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddique, Sheela and singers M.G. Sreekumar were among the special guests.
