Star One announces new programming line up




Two fresh and inspiring shows hit the airwaves from April 5
STAR One recently announced the launch of a fresh lineup of content viz. 2 new fiction shows, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Rang Badalti Odhani from April 5 (Monday to Friday). With a spanking new array of content being added to the channel, the shows will now comprise a high voltage entertaining mix of reality, fiction, drama and a lot more! Rest assured, everyone is going to be thoroughly entertained with the new programmes coming their way!
The new line-up of shows is a result of the in-depth research conducted by the channel, which threw up glaring gaps. The research revealed startling new information on changing viewership trends as also a new set of audiences with a certain entertainment need. Hence, with the aim of expanding its viewership and filling in these gaps, STAR One is proud to present a range of new, refreshing and differentiated content in its prime time band.
From April 5, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Rang Badalti Odhani are non-traditional and inspiring stories of young women, who have the ability to script their own destinies by defying conventions.

Produced by Endemol India Pvt Ltd and 4 Lions Films, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, highlights the NRI marriage related problems which are very prevalent in India. It is a story of a young spirited girl, Geet, who is abandoned by her NRI husband and how she faces the challenges and stands for the rights and values she believes in. 

Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi

Geet played by Drashti Dhami: A girl of 18-years of age, Geet is educated, pretty and warm. She is in college and looking forward to all the happiness and joys that life has to offer.

Dev played by Abhinav Shukla: A suave, young NRI, based in Canada. He works his charm around everyone, and impresses Geet and her family.

Maan played by Gurmeet Choudhary: A person   with a tough exterior and displays great strength of character. He appears to be arrogant and intimidating but has a soft heart.

Produced by Beyond Dreams Pvt Ltd and Anahita Productions, Rang Badalti Odhani is about a girl who takes destiny in her own hands when she is widowed at a very young age. She demands justice from the man who is responsible for the death of her husband, the only bread earner of her family. She is bold and takes responsibility to get compensation for the loss of her husband.


Rang Badalti Odhani

Khanak played by Yashashree: A naïve honest and innocent 19 year-old-girl who hails from a small ship building village. Beneath Khanak’s soft exterior lies great strength and determination.

Suraj played by Harpreet Kaur: A 21-year-old responsible guy and sole bread earner of his family, he is madly in love with Khanak, his childhood sweetheart.

Shantanu played by Karan Thacker: 24-year-old boy who hails from a rich business background settled in Mumbai. Shantanu is a typical selfish, irresponsible, spoilt brat who thinks money can buy anything.
