Sana Shaikh, the lead of Zee TV’s newly launched show — Mera Naam Karegi Roshan is having a tough time picking up dance steps for her own wedding sequence in the show. Today, when the modern day actors and actresses are assumed to step into the industry with excellent dancing prowess, Sana is finding it extremely difficult to match up with her counterparts like Suhasi Dhami, Ankita Lokhande, Aditi Gupta, Binny Sharma and others.
TV stars don't have to be dance prodigies but the profession demands that they should be able to learn some basic dance steps and sway in sync in case a serial demands a celebration sequence. Currently in the show, Reet is all gearing up to settle down in holy matrimony. And the twist in the tale is that there’s not one but 2 suitors vying for her attention — Yagya (Sufi Malhotra) — a self made police officer and another Bheesm Pratap Singh (Sahil Anand) — a rich spoilt Ministers relative.
To be telecast on 30th Aug, Monday - this 2 hour wedding special titled, Reet Ki Aayegi Baraat will also feature the leads of other Zee Shows come and shake a leg. Karan — Abha from Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli; Manav – Archana from Pavitra rishta’; Aditie Gupta, Iqbal Khan and Binny Sharma from Sanjog se Bani Sangini and a host of other actors from Choti Bahu, Karol Bagh, Pavitra Rishta as well as Mera Naam karegi roshan will participate in this gala celebration.
Sana Shaikh is a director’s sweetheart but a choreographer’s nightmare. Pappu Malu the choreographer of the marriage scene in Mera Naam Karegi Roshan had the arduous task of pulling off the dance sequences well with Sana .
MARATHI numbers — more than enough!!
Sushant Rajput and Ankita Lokhande say no to Marathi numbers. The hit jodi of Pavitra Rishta are apparently tired of dancing to the Marathi tunes. “Oh nooo… not again...!!” was their expression when recently they were asked to perform on, “ nanachi taang…” (from the movie Khatta meetha) during the Mega wedding event of Mera Naam Karegi Roshan.

Manav and Archana have strictly put their foot down saying that they will they will dance to any other song but a Marathi one. They are known to have danced on a Maharashtrian song every time Zee TV has a special show. Archana and Manav, have expressed a desire to dance on some romantic numbers this time. “We have enjoyed dancing on Maharashtrian numbers, but want to try out other forms of dance also” said Sushant Rajput.
Now the pair is said to be shaking a leg on the songs ‘jogi maahi heer ranjha’, ‘aila re ladki mast mast tu aila re’ and the latest chart buster ‘ tum jo aaye zindagi mein baat ban gayi…’
